Manufacturing Intelligence · Machining shop facility

A machine shop where every machine has a pair of eyes.

A supervisor can't stand at every CNC all shift. So we're putting AI on the cameras the shop already has. It watches six things on the floor, and when something needs a person, the supervisor's phone rings like a call until they answer.

Being installed Results will be shared once it has run for a few months.

Six checks, on every shift.

Operator at the machine

Every machine knows if its operator is there, and how long it has been left.

Phone use

Minutes on the phone, against an allowance per shift that the owner sets.

Gatherings

Two or more people away from their machines for longer than the talk limit.

Parts in the wrong place

Stacks on walkways or outside their marked storage areas.

Parts left too long

Each stack gets an ID and a photo, and the system tracks how long it hasn't moved.

Chip removal

Chips cleared as often as the settings require: "4 of 5 done on time".

For the supervisor

The phone rings. Not a notification. A ring.

Notifications get swiped away. Floorline rings over the lock screen, even on silent, and keeps ringing until someone taps Acknowledge. The Today list shows what needs a person right now, with a photo and a clip.

  • Rings within about 15 seconds of the issue
  • Photo and clip of the whole moment, 10 s before to 10 s after
  • History shows how every issue was closed

For the owner

One score for the floor, and it always says why.

A compliance score from 0 to 100 that blends every check. It drops when there's an issue and climbs back as the day goes well, and it always gives the reason. Below it: issues per day, how many were closed, and how fast.

  • Every issue as a clip, marked on the day's timeline
  • Breaks and holidays don't count against anyone
  • No face recognition: the operator assigned to the machine gets the issue

Every stack of parts gets a name and a clock.

The cameras find stacks of parts on the floor and give each one an ID by area, like W-01 for the walkway. A stack outside its storage area, or sitting untouched too long, becomes an issue. Supervisors tag a stack with its part, job or customer in one tap.

App and dashboard screens are recreated with sample data. The shop-floor photo is an illustration; the real system runs on the shop's own camera footage, which we don't show here.

Built for the shop floor

Runs on the PC they already have

The AI aims for 30% of the factory PC and never goes past 40%, so the PC's other work always comes first. If it's busy, slow-changing checks like parts and chips ease off first.

Video stays in the factory

The PC does the watching. Only issues, scores and short clips go online.

Keeps working offline

If the internet drops, the checks, announcements and clips carry on, and everything syncs once it's back.

A person always decides

Every issue is a clip for a supervisor to review, never an automatic finding against anyone.
